ausgezeichnet – excellent, superb, distinguished etc etc…

Here is an example sentence using those last two:

Ihr Deutsch ist wirklich ausgezeichnet! – Your German is really excellent!

Just for fun, let’s pull that word apart. This is probably pointless, but it helps me to remember words if I break them down into their smaller components.

aus – ge – zeichnet

Aus – out

ge - This is the additive that shows something is in the past. (e.g essen – to eat >> gegessen – to have eaten)

zeichnet – draws, plots

gezeichnet – drawn, plotted, designed

…. I told you it was probably pointless but I found out how to say “designed” which is useful for me

Looking into the word “Design” more, you find:

zeichnen – to design

das Zeichnen – the drawing

technisches Zeichnen – technical drawing
